There are plenty of golf courses in Prague to appease the avid golfer. With a temperate climate and lots of warm sunny days in the summer, golfing in Prague is a pleasure. Most of Prague’s golf courses are located a short distance outside of the city center, but are easily accessible by car or public transit.

Golf Club Praha - Golf course

This 9-hole golf course is located just a short ways west of Prague, not far from the city center. In operation since the 1920s, this challenging course tops out at a par 70 with the chance to play the nine holes twice, for a full round of 18 holes. In addition, there is a clubhouse, training area, terrace and restaurant, and the onsite golf academy offers golf lessons. Green fees start at €31.

Prague City Golf Club - Golf course

Located only a 15-minute drive south of the city center, this Prague golf club features a full 18-hole course, as well as an 18-hole putting course called “Himalayas”. The championship course was created in 2009 by three well known international golfers. There is also an onsite driving range, an 8-hole pitch and putt course, a chipping green and a warm-up range, as well as a deluxe clubhouse. Green fees start at €35.

Golf & Country Club Prague - Golf course

Vltavanů 531/4, Prague 4; +420 244 460 435; www.hodkovicky.cz This short, 9-hole course is situated in a very scenic spot, right along the Vltava River south of the city center in Prague 4. Opened in 2005, the course is 2750 meters long and tops out at a par 36, with elegant, long fairways. There is a restaurant on the ground floor of the clubhouse with a garden overlooking a sweet pond. The basic, 9-hole green fee is €23, €39 to play 18 holes.

Golf Hostivař - Golf course

This elegant golf club features a short 9-hole course, with three alternative holes, rounding up to 12 holes in total. There is also a driving range, a golf academy with lessons and an indoor golf center, which features simulators that allow you to practice your game before taking to the green. Situated in the southern part of Prague, this club features an elegant clubhouse with a restaurant that has views of the greens.
